“Full Send.”
I can’t quite remember all the details because I am pretty sure I was coming up on MDMA when I heard this story…
My friend Chelsey shared it with me at our Halloween party, about how she got the bracelet she was wearing.
She was out on a boat and somehow saw a bracelet at the bottom of the lake (one of those Taylor Swift style friendship bracelets). She wanted it so she got it out of the water and when it came up to the surface… “what does it say?!”
Full. Send.
Now what’s cool about this is Chelsey is 100% a full send kind of girl, it’s one of the things I love most and admire about her. Of course this bracelet found her.
I loved the mantra and the concept so much, I adopted it as my own that weekend and beyond. Full send has become an anchor for me when I doubt or question or need a little extra kick in the butt to go for what I want.
Later that weekend I was doing art with Chelsey’s daughter Dani, and I drew this:
Dani, being 9, fully understood the assignment. The real meaning of “full send” and the value of enjoying her art for hours on end… she made so many full send drawings she actually turned it into a book of Full Sends.
Fuck, kids really get it.
On Valentine’s Day a package arrived for me from Chelsey, Dani, and their family… a journal, markers, chocolate covered dates, and a “Full Send” bracelet of my own.
My “Full Send” spell was officially cast.
